The Symphony Orchestra

The Symphony Orchestra Course will provide more experienced young instrumentalists with the opportunity to play great music from the symphonic repertoire under the guidance of professional tutors.

The course is aimed at those who have already achieved a certain level of technical ability and who wish to develop their skills further. Enthusiasts who play the more unusual orchestral instruments will be greatly valued.

More advanced players will be encouraged to take leading and solo opportunities. Help will be on hand for those with less experience.

The symphony orchestra will have approximately 80 members consisting of the full range of orchestral instruments.

The repertoire chosen for this course will be interesting, challenging at all levels and, most importantly, will provide an enjoyable and inspiring introduction to the world of the full symphony orchestra.
